Understanding my Tracking
Hello I ordered GTAV from Amazon and it was dispatched yesterday apparently via Tracked 48.
It has been at this since yesterday
14-SEP-2013 17:32 Outward RDC Handheld Acceptance Princess Royal Distribution Centre
Firstly can someone tell me what" Outward RDC Handheld Acceptance" means
2nd, can somebody tell me if sometimes an item can move and it will not be tracked and just arrive
Also do Royal Mail move items between Distribution centres on Sundays Because I live in the North (west yorkshire) and the centre my package is at is in London(next to wembley) which is weird
Thank you(think I posted this in wrong place last itme)

Re: Understanding my Tracking
Don't worry about it its progressing through the system this is a technical status which means basically it is in, or soon will be handed over to Royal Mail by Amazon.lolmail wrote:Hello I ordered GTAV from Amazon and it was dispatched yesterday apparently via Tracked 48.

Yes possible - Extremely unlikely though.lolmail wrote:2nd, can somebody tell me if sometimes an item can move and it will not be tracked and just arrive
Not weird it's probably the closest Distribution Centre to the Amazon warehouse that has been storing your particular copy of the game. Yes items start moving Sunday evening and are probably going into the local Mail Centres Sun/Mon for delivery on Tuesday.lolmail wrote:Also do Royal Mail move items between Distribution centres on Sundays Because I live in the North (west yorkshire) and the centre my package is at is in London(next to wembley) which is weird

Re: Understanding my Tracking
No need to get concerned yet - my nephew is expecting exactly the same and we are in West Yorkshire as well, we have the same status as you.
I wouldn't get concerned to any great degree unless you see no movement before 6-7am on Tuesday - even then because of the volume (100,000s) some may slip past the scanners without being updated.
At the worst case if your postie does not deliver it tomorrow, then go ape at Amazon - worrying before then will only give you ulcers.

I know, its just the excitement.. its weird to explain but the last GTA was in 2008 and its something that happens every 4-5 Years.. for someone my age (21) its very exciting and feels like Christmas when you where a kid :)
Trust me if I do not get it tomorrow I will go bat s**t at Amazon, did your Nephew get the same as me? They Promoted First Class Delivery and than when it was dispatched I later found out it was Tracked 48 which is not first class.. pretty disgusting to advertise first class and than change it without telling me(had to question them about it)

Re: Understanding my Tracking
No his has always been tracked - but sent 48 instead of 24 - still okay as most will be delivered tomorrow anyway.

Re: Understanding my Tracking
First class = usually within 3 working days, no tracking.
Tracked 48 = usually delivered within 2 working days, tracked.
I assume it's arrived since you've been quiet today? lol
