Parcel stuck at Heathrow Langley HWDC

Some people post on here saying they have spoken to Customs so you could try them. Unfortunately, they don't have a customer contact number so its a case of playing ping pong.

My own advice would be to say that 2 - 4 weeks delay is not unusual so I would just keep checking the tracking and as soon as it moves into RM hands you should have it within 1 working day.

If it goes beyond 4 weeks then yes I would contact USPS.

The last movement was as above on the 25/09/2017 then nothing, my parcel was shipped from Brazil and contains a 25cm crafting skeleton which is used for clay modelling, so no batteries or anything that could cause problems.
it's now 07/10/2017 and I don't know if I should be contacting anybody just yet, i've had many parcels from Japan and China arrive in just 5 days yet this particular parcel from Brazil is now on it's 30th day since it was initially posted to me.

Chances are that it's stuck in customs, this time of year in the 3 months leading to Christmas Customs will be a lot busier. Do you know if the sender posted it as air mail or surface mail? If they posted it by surface mail then it might not have arrived in the UK yet

I have the same problem with Langley HWDC!
The parcel I sended form Poland got there 11 days ago and since then nothing has changed in the tracking system preview. Do you know who can give me some
more information on that? I have already tried Track and Trace service from the Roayl Mail and that's what I get:

The system is currently unable to confirm the status of your item, posted on 28/09/17 with reference RR068248864PL. Please try again later.

Can anyone tell me what does it mean? Should I still wait or declare the parcel as lost?

PS: The parcel contained a retured product (clothes) bought via internet.

Its got the same problem as everyone else. Its been picked out by Customs for legal, safety and security checks.

It has been quiet for a few months but with volumes now rising, delays are being reported regularly. RM won't consider it lost till they have received it (they haven't according to their own tracking) and then 15 days have passed.

The sender could go to the Polish equivalent and report it they may have different rules.

The Polish Post cannot help me on that matter since it is reported that the package passed the UK border. They told me I have to contact the Royal Mail.
On the RM Track&Trace it is conformed that the package came to UK, it says:

05:15am
ARRIVED IN THE UK
HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC

, but it is currently unable to confirm the status...

No. Customs don't give any information about this and the length of time changes. Also, we that there are different levels of checking, which takes different amounts of time, but there is no way of knowing which level of checking your parcel is receiving.

The recipient would be told of extra costs, not you. However, there are unlikely to be extra costs as you are sending from an EU country.

What would you recommend to do now?

There is nothing you can do but wait.

HI, I noticed this thread is a little old but came across it on a search.

Currently I have a package coming from the US to the UK and have the same notice as others.

USPS state: Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on February 16, 2018 at 12:06 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Parcelforce state: Your parcel has left its origin country and is on its way to the UK. Please see our enhanced help if the final destination is not the UK.

The tracking number is CJ471733155US (no UK tracking number). The thing is Around two weeks ago I got something delivered from the same area int he US and it took just 4 days! Now this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

If it only arrived in the UK yesterday then I'm afraid any delay you think there is must be on the US end for which we have limited knowledge. I do know that USPS scan their items before they hand them over to Customs, and Customs check them before they hand them onto RM. This is why sometimes there is a discrepancy between UK tracking results and US ones.

I guess I'll just give it until the end of next week to give it time and see. It's strange as last time it took 4 days and a bigger package from the same area but went to RM and not PF. Now the tracking number directs me to PF not RM and has stopped tracking in the last few days.

My original message from last week :-) Hi Everyone. I had a parcel send from America tracking number LZ415898170US .... When i check on the USPS tracking website the last event is this :- Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on February 8, 2018 at 10:14 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
When i put it into the Royal mail track and trace there is no record of it, and yet a parcel i had sent a few days before with similar tracking number showed up in the Royal mail track and trace and and got to me in 5 days from USA.

I have phoned customs today and they took the parcel number and have not received it there, and the value is only 14 dollars anyway so shouldn't be subject to custom charges.

I have read other similar cases but a lot of them have just got one post and never said whether they actually ever received the parcel. I know it's only 8 days, but the other parcel once it reached Heathrow I got it within 2 days with status updates.

Update, I have phoned Royal Mail today and they said the the consignment , which is all of the parcels which come off the plane was signed for on the 9th, then all the parcels from that shipment get scanned in by Royal Mail. Still no sign of mine though.

Ok first i thought its will first go to uk then to india.but after i find this thread .i got skeptical.what is the promblem here. My package should be delivered to india not in uk.then why did they sent to uk+should i need to pay customs duty in uk to get my parcel in india.thats not fair.why should i pay uk customs.iam living in india lol.+why usps sent my package to uk airport.ok what will be the case here.i tracked on parcel force which they didnt even have order tracking on ot.they say refrence number is invalid.lol.+parcel force and royal mail only for uk delivery right??? Not for india.anyways.my parcels contain $89 pokemon ultra sun nintendo game3ds (not 89$ package cost).overall all my package cost is 116$.so what happened here. It looks like USPS misrouted it.

Royal Mail will send it on to India as soon as it enters their system and they realise where it should be going.
