Good luck with your claim ,I take it the maximum award of £5000 would be enough to keep your business empire afloat.
Are you fourteen?
I should stick to that then ,cos your legal career doesn't look too promisingJust Matt wrote:Im 33 and run a very sucessful media company
Neither does that of many Royal Mail Postmen and womenI should stick to that then ,cos your legal career doesn't look too promising
there is NO modernization or efficiency - it's just corporate spin for slash and burn and a worsening service . I'm afraid your post appears to be smug , arrogant , sanctimonious and self satisfied and unable to deal with any criticism of RM management / HMG judging by the amount of insults and petty prejudices .Mike in Horwich wrote:I'm really struggling to find any good reason to support strike action.
I read from your lengthy "post" that your posties are "concerned about the service". I see you are most concerned about your own welfare, future, pay, pension etc etc.
This is not in itself bad.........but please, don't try to involve me, the British public in your death throes.
I've worked for myself for over 25 years. I guess I've had 5-10 days sick in that time. I had cancer, chemo and an operation, I got £9 a week from the government. I had however the sense to pay into a private fund from the outset. I'm self-reliant and would not inconvenience MY customers for the sake of "service". Be honest guys, you are after better wages, better conditions, less work. You are NOT intent on providing a better service for your customers.
Modernisation is needed in all industries. The Royal Mail has a proud heritage in technological innovation. Hell, the first real computer was built by a P.O. chap - Flowers was his name I believe. If you don't accept modernisation and efficiency you will die as a company.
This strike does NOT have my support.
and they wonder why they get answered in such a manner . Many sound like saloon bar bores stuck in a 80's time warp .Yahoorsur wrote:my my the trolls are out and about.

I think work or leave..plenty of us don't have any choice! I like to support RM...but being pragmatic they want things the rest of us can't expect to have any more..that's life and each postie always has a choice....do something else if the job and pay doesn't suit you. There are no guarantees for life.
Do we need Thatcher back to kick the unions to where they should be, in the gutter
