So sorry to hear about this. I too faced a demeaning taunt from Royal Mail staff today. I was returning a parcel from Zara that I had ordered online because it was not a perfect fit, which so often happens with these online orders that we are forced to do due to COVID. Now the person at the counter while collecting the order taunted saying, "you know that we receive so many returns for Zara nowadays. I've heard that they're changing their return policy and will be charging for the returns going forward. They're saying the returned item they receive come perfumed, people just order from there, use the product on the weekend and return afterwards." I am not sure whether it was not intended as a taunt or not but sounded like one to me.

Sounds more like a helpful warning about what may be in store if returning things to Zara in future to me.

I agree with Sir Henry's post. I can't see that as "taunting" in any way.

failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.

If this was at a Post Office, then it wasn't a Royal Mail employee.

The Post Office is a separate organisation to the Royal Mail

Sounds like a bit of harmless banter to be honest.

Please remember that this section is an open one and can be viewed by anyone.

Therefore the rules are applied here more strictly that in other parts of RMC.

Also any derogatory posts about customers or their opinions will be removed, but of course no one is daft enough to risk their jobs by bringing Royal mail into disrepute, are they ?
