SD advice, "Your item is currently progressing..."

And it says absolutely nothing else? Because that's when it's being scanned in and no DUN was received from the mail centre (DUN is a list of the SD items which are in the bag-if no DUN is present, you have to scan a different code to enable you to scan the items in).

We are getting bags of SD's bought into our office for destinations all over the country. Someone in the MC obviously cannot read a bag label

There was an update on the system it says 'on delivery' but as off 7:21 am yesterday morning. There's nothing else after that. I'm slightly worried thats its lost as theres no delivery signature or anything.
I can't imagine it would take so long for it to be delivered after reaching the post office.

I called up royal mail who told me that since the item wasn't returned to the post office it was likely so be delivered but that would not explain the lack of update on the tracking website and the recylcing company stated that since there was no signature or proof of delivery they don't know where it is.

Does anyone have idea what's happening? as im getting worried.

Without more information from the tracking page (could you copy and paste everything it says please regarding the movements of the item) we know as much as you do. If we have more information we might be able to hazard a guess at what's happened to it, but I doubt you're going to find someone on here who knows exactly.

The nature of the product and the type of company you have sent it to suggests that they would receive multiple special deliveries at a time.
It is possible the delivery officer missed scanning your item when he made the delivery and if the company does not manually count the special delivery items they receive they would not notice the discrepancy.
The most likely scenario is the item was delivered but how you would go about getting the company to accept that is another matter.

I'm not sure what to do or who to believe (royal mail says its been delivered but the firm is refusing to accept it as the delivery has not been uploaded), I cant understand why the delivery confirmation doesn't show up if it has infact been delivered.

Sometimes manual signatures are taken rather than electronic so it may have been delivered but they are still waiting for the signature card to be scanned in.
Also if its a large organisation that gets loads of specials it sometimes takes a little bit of time to update the system.

I would check again Monday and even try @royalmail on twitter - they are quite active during office hours and are one of our jewels in the crown when it comes to customer service - not forgetting the CS advisor's we have on here as well - they are all gems.

Hopefully that's what it is, because royal mail is adamant that it was delivered and are refusing to refund the special delivery charge because it 'the delivery date hasn't been confirmed yet'.
And the firm is sticking by its guns about not having received it.

If it doesn't show up on monday is there anything i can do to probe more into what actually happened?
