Update: Still no package from Ireland, WTF is going on here ? This package has been in the system a total of Eleven days so there is no excuse for this, I can get things to family in Denmark in less time. Why do us customers carry on paying for a service that is clearly flawed it drives me nuts, it seems the managers don't give a @#%& as long as they don't have to get off their arses and do anything :no no .

In addition to the above I have just found out that my Daughters missed a hospital appointment due to a letter sent the 10th Feb not arriving in time.......disgusting :mad !!!

Is there anyway I can reach out to the useless management Via these forums as I have a very large piece of my mind I would like to share with them !!!

Brett you may have done so already as rumour has it senior managers who are part of the negotiating team come on here fairly regularly. So although they won't be on the Customer Service side, they will extremely high level, perhaps even board members. :Very Happy

Lets see what happens now !!!

Letter to Adam Crozier

Dear Adam,

I hope you can take the time to read this email as I have been caused untold problems by your poor postal services including losing a job at Heathrow due to documents not arriving for my security clearance. I have been in correspondence with postal workers on royal mail chat http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =6&t=24490" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; trying to get some clarification on what's going on. I've had to do this due to your customer services team not being helpful, spinning the same old "we deliver 80`000`000 items of mail" line and telling me I will have to wait and its not their fault. As you can see along with important documents I am waiting for a package from Ireland that has been in the UK since 23rd Feb which according to Ireland is stuck at Langley mail centre which is only 10 mins from my location, I`ve had to make these calls to Ireland on royal mails behalf costing me even more time and money. My daughter has missed an important hospital appointment due to a letter sent 10th Feb not arriving on time. In general we only get our mail in dribs and drabs and I am beginning to wonder if mail is being lost or maybe stolen.
Another issue that's arisen is the lack of contact with Uxbridge sorting office, I have been trying since the middle of last week to contact them using the number given by your customer services and as yet I have had no luck. In total I would say I have spent at least 60 mins per day listening to a ring tone only for the phone to be picked up and dropped back down, yet Pinner sorting office answer within 5 rings. Its obvious that managers at Uxbridge encourage this poor behavior otherwise it wouldn't be happening.
I will give you the tracking number for the package from Ireland in the hope that you will personally chase this up for me as this is also important: RL199046913IE I have been traking this item using http://track.anpost.ie/track/trackone.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as your royal mail system seems to be unable to do so.
I trust that you will try your best to respond to this email otherwise I will be inclined to go to my local press and maybe national press to forward a complaint about royal mail including all the details of my correspondence, email`s and ignored phone calls if not.

Regards

Well done Mr Archer.

If only every customer who has the same experiences that you have, not only SAY they will go further but actually DO.

We get the same in crown offices. Complaints to the staff and BM, but no one above listens to US when we forward it on.

Note to anyone else reading this thread. This is a direct result of the managed decline that RM management have systematically put in place, and there can be no blame layed at the door of the staff.

The reason that the Uxbridge phone isn't answered is because there is nobody TO answer it. (probably the DOM walking past hanging it up on his way to the coffee machine) :cuppa

Good luck Brett

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

UPDATE: Finally got the birth certificate, its been in the system a total of 9 days according to the post stamp on the envelope........ :Very Happy

Still no joy on the driving license or parcel/package from Ireland which leads me to my next question. What I`ve ordered from Ireland is whats called a Red Dot Finder, see here>>>>>> http://www.skywatchertelescope.net/swti ... class2=501" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Im beggining to wonder if Customs at Langley have held this thinking its weapons related. The vendor has assured me that he wrote telescope parts on the package as he was aware this could be an issue considering its coming from Ireland. BTW I am a keen astronomer, geeky I know but I enjoy it

Any input on the latter would be much appreciated,

Thanks

Ah Archer my man, im into astronomy too, i bought a skywatcher explorer 130p telescope a few weeks ago, i got a skywatcher explorer 130p and i Love it, i got mine from firstlightoptics thats the best site around unless you look for 2nd hand stuff. And you could very well be right that the customs kept it but its unlikely you would be that unlucky. If it come from ireland it could very well take longer, are you 100% sure the seller posted it and is not stalling you till more stock arrives? did he give you a tracking number?

Hi Coxie,

The sale is a private one, not commercial. The chap I bought it from is called Paul Clancy who is a member of the sky at night forums aka Lukeskywatcher. I have the tracking number and Ive inquired and tracked via Anpost in Ireland and RM here, both of which have told me over the phone that its stuck at Langley mail center as it may need to go through customs. :arrrghhh

I also have the very same scope as you, a skywatcher130p on az goto mount, unfortunately I made the mistake of using telescope planet. They did exactly as you said above, took my money but didn't have the scope in stock. It took going nuts down the phone after 10 days for them to buy one from Optical vision and have it sent that way. I'm looking now to get an 8" dobsonian when I get authorization from her indoors.

Cheers

Brett
