Package has gone from Bristol to Coventry?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone a bit more in the know can help me here. I order a lot from a retailer based in Stroud, always Tracked 24 service, usually the package arrives first at the Bristol MC and then goes to the Patchway DO.

Checking tracking for my most recent order, it’s gone from Bristol MC to Coventry PFW. It was scanned at Coventry this morning. The tracking still says it’s due today, but why would it go 2 hours north-east only to then come back?

Looks like it's been transferred from Royal Mail to ParcelForce. Parcel Force may be helping out in some areas, and I know the Bristol area has been suffering some delays, according to articles in our News Section.
