Its a good question - while I would support a strike if voted for I would at least like the CWU to explain what the objectives were otherwise it'll be like General Haigh and the Duke of York. Posties making sacrifices for no clear objective and the CWU leading them from pillar to post with no clear plan.

Once more, we have been taken for a ride by RM, I can see more strikes on the way.

I can't - the mood in our office today was one of tired resignation, and I can imagine it was like that in offices up and down the country.

The much vaunted revision process has been turned into nothing more than a tabletop savings exercise.
The mail-centre consultation process is simply a rubber stamp exercise.

The "new relationship" between the union and Royal Mail is a farce.
The independent review into the bullying and harassment culture in Royal Mail will not now happen.
The pay rises for this year and next are unlikely to be honoured.
We have been taken to the cleaners by Royal Mail management who will now plead poverty...in an attempt to drive down our terms and conditions yet again.

What is really worthless is not the shares but the Business Transformation Agreement itself. :cuppa

I agree!

Another kick in the arse for all are hard work!!! Thank you Royalmail :Applause
I have to say here I find a loss like this very hard to believe. Anyone know where all the money went in 6 months.
It didn't disappear in 6 months, it disappeared in 3 weeks, according to reports of people who took VR getting paid out.

There can be but one explanation. Moya Greene took the rest of our ColleagueShare money down to Ladbrokes and bet it all on Arsenal to win the Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League

I am totally shocked by this announcement, there had been rumours flying around for a months, but I never thought Royal Mail could stoop this low, they've taken the biscuit and every single crumb of credibility with it.

From day one in the job we have been taught about the "INTEGRITY" of the Mail and being "TRUST"worthy postmen and women. I don't think the Royal Mail will ever winback my trust after this fiasco.

Royal Mail's "Monopoly" on Postal Services is coming to an end and now they want all their "Monopoly" money back. Think I would rather have had monopoly money at least I could use it to wipe my backside of this whole sorry mess.

I shud have seen it coming "Phantom Share scheme" says it all. Just like the Last Phantom Menace "Consignia" They've just consignia'd our shares to history. R.I.P

No that is "refusing a reasonable request from a supervising officer" & if that SO is a total bastard, that could also be a sacking.

Hans, just say yes to your boss, take your MR before you leave the office ( and I do mean leave your bench & do NOTHING work related during your MR ), when you return to your bench, get yourself ready, and if you think you cannot complete lapsing & delivery in the time you have, ask your boss what he wants you to do, and then do what he says. If he says nothing ( thiunking that if he tells you nothing you will stay out and complete ) challenge him and ask "WHAT do YOU want ME to DO??? Leave my lapsing, cut off my delivery, or book OT?" ( If you want to do OT that is )

Get your answer from him, have a witness close to you when you ask & don't put up with any intimidation bollocks ( "What are you talking about....you can do both in no time at all!" "Oh really boss? Ok, why don't you come out with me & time my delivery.....why are you running away?" :chuckle ), and don't leave until you have an answer....make sure you put them on the spot, and get a clear decision - that is what they are supposedly paid for.

One last thing, it will be frustrating going through all this, but don't get angry, just smile sweetly & speak very nicely, always give a reasonable answer, and remember they can't feck your day up as much as ... ed theirs!
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!
