Bearing in mind although this deal has been done Royal Mail still have their business plan for 2010 to come out yet. Which means regardless of what is written in this agreement in about a months time RM will be coming to take more hours from your office.

although the agreement is vague and will return to haunt us, the negotiating team were against a spiteful management, an un interested govt and a recession which allows bonus driven managers to treat the rest of their employee,s like serfs. and with all the vitriol being heaped on haye,s and ward,is there a great general coming over the horizon to save us? I think we will have to keep our powder dry for a while.

Quite simply put - nothing happens - they cannot move forward without agreement, neither nationally nor locally and since all the nitty gritty will be done either way by local reps who better to understand prevailing conditions? Without agreement the status quo remains and disagreements abound.

Royal Mail aren't stupid they know they need to carry the workforce with them to make modernisation a success, however what they seriously misjudged is the ability of the CWU to cajole the workforce into agreeing to such an ill judged agreement.

Look lets be honest with each other here, does the scope of this agreement, the reward, the lack of detail, the treatment of part time staff actually make any one believe that the treatment of staff, the unmanageable workloads and unrealistic expectations of performance is going to change because of this agreement? If it does vote YES.

Guarenteed Payment of £1000 linked to transformation

And what is this transformation ?? And when is it paid ??

Also, as a nightshift worker, will i lose early shift allowance ??
Do any of my allowances increase ?? or decrease ??

And the 1 hour less working week ?? So will i be going home an hour earlier one day, or 10 mins earlier every day, or is this just taken from meal relief ??

Its all too vague for me, and, certainly for delivery staff, more scope for bullying and harrassment.
The D2D revenue people must be licking their lips now. Sell the product even cheaper, so you could end up with 5 lots a week, with no extra prep time.
Some walks could have 500+ houses, the walk next to him, 700+ houses. For that poor sod, he would be expected to prep between 600 - 1000 more items in the same amount of time. For less money !!!!!!!

Union doesn't seem to realise that we want a proper workload out of the 'agreement' rather than being bribed to scurry round like our fecking short and curlies are on fire and there's no water to extinguish them?

This hopeless union set of tosseurs must be taking it up the ringpiece to allow us to get shafted like this! Vote by taking your subs and spending it on something useful.
