I still wonder what you think this has to do with Royal Mail? This person was already employed by Royal Mail prior to this incident, it is totally unconnected with her employment. The fact that you do not consider this person fit for her job is really neither here nor there.
Hi Thanks for giving so much time on my issues with this,as she was not charged does this mean she is innocent, when there is very strong evidence including a cctv tape which i have witnessed today and a statement from the landlady involved saying that this person was the agressor and because this is her first offence then she has been cautioned and now has a criminal record so looks like she has made a very costly assault, so i was a member of the public in a public place and i was attacked twice by someone who represents royal mail just as i reprsent social services if i attacked or abused someone for no reason my employers would be told and i would be struck off as you should be setting and example.
Although we think its her only offence this may be the only one she has been reported for!
I thankyou for allyour comments and hope i have explained to you in more detail.
I am intalks with royal mail and my slicitors to see if we can let her manager know, thank you
As an outsider looking in I have to say, Maisie, there appears to be a lot more to this story than you are revealing. The person who allegedly assaulted you was not representing Royal Mail. She was a private individual in a public place. Had she been in uniform and going about her duties for Royal Mail at the time then of course it would have been a different issue. If you feel that justice has not been done then your argument is with the Police. I am actually surprised a solicitor is even taking issue with Royal Mail as it isn't any of their business.
That is your opinion but its hard to beleive that such attacks have happened without provocation but this is how it happened there is no more to the story thats it and i think everyone involved including myself but he evidence is there in glorious cctv, pohos and i am sat here woth two black eyes several bruises this person has inflicted pain on another person i have spoken with the police and they have told me it was section 47 and they due to as they put it'white collar crap' even though all the evidence including her statement on tape which my solcitor now has she is guilty but because its her first offence they caution instead of charge her-its only a matter of time before this happens again as she appears a very unbalanced person and maybe i was a threat in some way when i have copies of everything and the case is heard i would only be too happy to let all at royal mail know the outcome, why would i come on a forum for postpersons and fabricate a story?
The fact is if royal mail did a crb check she has a criminal record and should be dismissed because she is violent unpredictable and may do it again or may have done it before but nobody has reported it.
I am of the opinion that you feel she has not done anything have you ever done jury service let me know ill make sure when my trial comes up i'll be let off scott free for any offence cheers!

short off bringing royal mail into disripute this is a legal matter and nothing to do with rm,if you have a problem it is to do with the legal system and not rm,the company can not be held respnsible for everything that happens in our private lives

I did not suggest that you had fabricated the story.
You may well feel aggrieved but without a charge and a criminal court you are going to have to go for a private prosecution aren't you?
Royal Mail may or may not do a CRB check when first employed. There certainly wouldn't be a continuous check on an employee. There have been instances where employees have been sacked for violence but if you research you will find that there are few instances.
I would ask again what does someones behaviour outside working hours have to do with an employer if it does not impact on its business.

Well maybe if you put youself in the victims situation then maybe you could be more understanding,ROYAL MAIL do a crb check as my mum was a postie and a memeber of family a while ago this has no connection with this person before you jump to any conclusion and they do a check evry two-five years so i may not need to call the office ,i thankyou for your comments and feel i have received enough feed back fro yourself and i have explained several tmes about why?
I am going for a priate prosecution not as a royal mail employee but as a violent member of the public i have no problem with Royal mail but i hope the queen never find out what unsavoury violent person they hae employed.
I live in manchester and have had an interview with one of the papers this afternoon so im sure when its published they will use her position as a postwoman to highlight who they employ!
You have actually empowered me in your comments to continue this there were actually times there that i doubted myself but know i know she deserves a conviction if certain people stick up for violent people in general then what can i expect.Ithink that every person has the right to their opinion and thats what i asked for and i'm safe in the knowledge this person is a danger.
I think we have said all there is to say and i have had lots of feed back.
Thankyou
