Lord Colwyn (Conservative)
My Lords, the Minister probably is not aware that the last two times I have been knocked off my bicycle were by GPO vans.

Do you think it was the same driver?
Although if they were GPO vans it must have been quite a few years ago.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Nice to see the level of debate achieves such a high standard in the Lords.
Gives you confidence in the system. No tax payers money wasted there then. LOL.

Yes, over forty years ago, before 1st October 1969.

Being a cyclist, was asked - told? - "You can service our bikes..."
( I assume this was before the scrapping thing was decided.)
Then the Deal Clincher..."You get an extra £8!"

Funny thing is, Halfords charge £10 per hour.

Rip off Britain or RIP RM Bikes?

Royal Mail is set to ditch bicycles............

Post by mucker »

The Royal Mail is set to ditch bicycles for postmen and women it was revealed in the House of Lords this week.........

In a letter, out-going chief executive Adam Crozier said the 24,000 bicycles were being phased out because they pose a "safety risk associated with busy street networks, where the rider is exposed to greater risk than other vehicle users". :cuppa
