Warring sides need to see sense over mail strike

The two sides blundering into a potentially disastrous national postal strike should see sense and talk peace.

Royal Mail's managers have a duty to seek negotiated changes instead of imposing them.

And the CWU union has to accept that the Royal Mail must change or die.

We will happily suggest a conciliator if the parties cannot come up with an independent figure to broker an agreement.

The Royal Mail is part of our country's fabric. And a national strike during a recession will be in neither side's interests - and earn the contempt of the public.

:chuckle :chuckle I don't even think George Mitchell could broker an agreement with RM at the moment.

Until BOTH sides stop seeing the other as the enemy it'll be no go. The Mirror breaks deadlock? Ho Ho

Can't be many that would disagree on that TBT. No progress like this.

Simple sack all managers and put our union reps in charge and everything will be fine,a company making large profits again.
