What Tolhurst should do is invite panorama back to film him doing that postmans delivery in three'n'half hours walking at 4 mph and completing it.That would prove we're all idle posties who dont want to work the hours paid.

IMHO. The only thing that needed to be highlighted a bit more was the fact that your expected to keep up this very physical workrate until your 65. How many 60 year olds can move at 4mph with 16KG for 3.5 hours every working day?

the Leeds Binmen went on strike partially because of ridiculous rates that were " efficient " - done the job at silly speeds for Cleanaway for a agency , I was the only one that hadn't been in prison The Agency were always looking for staff

Watched the programme with a couple of friends who have put up with my RM rants for years. They can now see I wasn't making it up!

Tolhurst did a magnificent job of proving what inept, arrogant, lying idiots are in charge of this business. The own goal on walking speeds left my pals incredulous. No words from the weasely Crozier, the psycho Higson or the invisible Bryden. Too busy counting their bonuses and pension credits I expect.

They couldn't stop laughing at the Gatwick managers 'been on a course' hand gestures.

Bet we get a work time lies session soon condemming the truths Panorama showed.

Very true. You dont see many bin men over 50 years old. We seem to live in a disposable world with a disposable workforce, where the workforce are run into the ground and dumped when you've had the best out of them.

Missed out the MOST important thing which is that Postcomm is not an independent regulator but is stuffed full of the competition. A look at some of the so-called regulators would have been useful.

Well I was dreading watching this and I was very pleasantly surprised. Tolhurst looked like a complete cock and the Postie was in my opinion was a bloody hero for coming on the program and telling the public exactly what its like working for the RM these days.

I only wished the makers had mentioned just how much it costs us to deal with rival mail and the fact that we had no pay rise this year.......unlike crozier who is still creaming money off the "insufficient" profits we are already making :cfo
