This will be the time when laurel and hardy bombrad us with their propaganda. Now is the time for us to put our arguements over and lets take this scum on!

29TH JUNE

21 Jun 2007, 16:24

TOLD YA BRING IT ON :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause ONWARDS & UPWARDS

21 Jun 2007, 16:49

:cfo :lfo . the chuckle brothers leighton & crozier probably think we wont have the balls to go through with it. now lets all stand very firm and show them we mean business

21 Jun 2007, 17:01

This is the most dangerous time for us all we need to show restraint and not allow RM managers to force us into unofficial action, which will be their aim. roll on the 29th has anybody heard anything about times. :nana :nana :nana

21 Jun 2007, 17:05

Usually a 24 hour strike means that it starts on whenever your shift finishes to run 24 hours over that day. So deliveries would finish on the thursday, MC nightshifts would finish on the Friday morning. There will be no set in stone times as there is too many different start times up and down the country.

21 Jun 2007, 17:08

:Very Happy . dont know about times. would have imagined it would start from midnight

times

21 Jun 2007, 17:11

just heard 3am friday till 3am sat, bring it on,& stay strong

21 Jun 2007, 17:21

now we have to show restraint, don't be goaded into unofficial action before or after, stick to the rules of this action, don't intimidate others into joining us (but try your damn best to persuade them) and all stick together to show how strong we feel about this. We have to make sure this is the slap in the face Leighton and Crozier need without shooting ourselves in the foot.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL INVOLVED AND :cfo :lfo

some insomniacs in our office get in one and a quarter to one and a half hours before their time. you just know they will do it the day after a strike. they're taking out 8 hours labour then giving it back over the course of a week. how do you get these assholes to stop this vile practise? should we not have reminders about it on the union boards especially at this crucial time.

21 Jun 2007, 18:11

Even if they do come in early there is no way they can clear the back log so why come in early. Strike because RM are cutting back and then do it for them by coming in early and unpaid. Image

When I started in 81 even management were going around and stopping you starting before your time but that was something to do with not being insured. From what I hear it's a different ball game and now I've been told by certain peeps that staff are indeed insured if they choose to start before their time. Shame as this could have been used for this very means.

well at least the union has finally woken up to the fact that if they keep given in there wont be anyone left to represent in a few more years.
