Van partners

Wots the rules on having different partners sharing a van . Having different van ..Being put on different walks with different partner.This is all in a week and in Wales.
Reps are dealing with these issues but DOM dont seem to care. I would just like to know if theres anything in procedure for sharing. Cheers.

But as we all know RM does not give a Xxxx and nothing is adhered to.

We’ve been told if your not happy about COVID safety and van sharing you can come in at 3pm and start your duty then when everyone gets back so you can have the van to yourself, that shut the moaners up.

how does starting at 3pm work? a full time shift would mean working until after 11pm!
on a rotating day off pattern even if they said you now must do 6 days @ 3pm-9-30pm, with darker evenings drawing in it would surely be a h&s risk
and with the uso kicking back in from sept, how would a guy call up at 8pm to say some mail will be fetched back?

i understand some people will still have genuine issues van sharing but i see a few who's gotten used to having their own van now who refuse to share because they find it easier and simply just don't want to go back, but they gladly share their frames with no masks on for probably triple the amount of time they'd be driving in the van together

But it wouldn’t take a full days hours as the duty would be fully prepped and ready to go , minus all the 1pm specials of course .Nobody was interested in doing it anyway.

Is this still in place? Covid Safe Practice?

I have been working from home for all of Covid, at request of management, doing extra days to cover my part time hours and ot days from 9.30 when van gets to house.

I an very very shortly going back to office on request of management, to my float duties.

I have been told i will be working with different people on different days as my former float partner is now covering one duty.

I am also expected to do ot on other duties again with different van partners, though i know this is my choice - not going to happen..

can i refuse to share a van with more than one person, do i have a right to share my float duties with one same person so van share is with one person only, as per covid safe practice?

I am concerened and very anxious to go back to the unit in the first place as told there are no mask wearers now or social distancing and we are expected to muck in and share or do whatever is requested, not necessaraly our duties, mine being a 3 day float?

I have had a serious illness, I am anxious, but am willing to go back to my duty and share with van with my one partner, not sure what happens when al is covered, 1 person to cover partners al only?

I will expect to be able to wear a mask through choice, some social distancing in sorting etc and one van partner only, is that correct, is such an agreement in place that i can quote from?

Although there isn't really much to help him.

As I understand it should be a gradual process with the needs of each van share driver taken into consideration. For example a partner / loved one could have underlining problems therefore the business / local reps should be committed to keep the likelihood of infections to a minimum by encouraging flow tests / same partner / same van and keep a weekly record . Dave Joyce has not signed off a full return to van share . If you have underlining problems yourself or suffer from anxiety you are well in your right to be given van for yourself . ‘ Safety comes first ‘ is the joint statement .The business should address all these problems before sending any hire vans back .
