Yes, they were determined not to negotiate weren't they?Night Tonic wrote:How were RM sweating? I saw NO evidence of that during this entire dispute! They stuck to their line throughout.

people should relise that this business was never broke in the first place so we dont need to fix it - for years the system has worked , when i joined the good old boys said to me we have been in profit for years ! , then along came the way forward deal , a name change to consignia ( COST US MILLIONS ) its easy to see why theres all losses why would you name change then back again ?? - they also blame the regulator - well we have on-line traffic also now that makes up for business ? im sorry but do you need overpaid idiots at the top to work the basics out ?? :lfo :cfo you can understand why some of us are upset !! - most of us are passionate in our jobs and feel insulted that so much has gone on and shouldnt have ?

You wouldn't. But those of us who aren't up the arse of Allan And Adam could see how the rolling strikes were hitting Royal Mail and forcing them around. They still haven't caught up with the backlog in some areas. All that happened was Billy Hayes and Dave Ward went out to bat for Royal Mail and betrayed the support the CWU had. With proper leadership, we could have won. Anyway, you're happy with the result, but looking at your previous posts on here, that's no surprise.Night Tonic wrote:sit down and talk and then what? The concensus seems to be that the deal is the same as the first one. I don't see how it made RM sweat.

I'm not, but clearly you're up your own IWW. I voted no but I'm not such a baby I can't accept the vote.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:You wouldn't. As soon as they took the pension out of the deal it was a YES for me
Work your time's and they cannot touch you
The pension is what we have to fight for, get this deal in then the fight starts for the pension that's what matters
Watch this space re pension fight. You never know CWU HQ may already be putting a team together to get you to buy into the pension scenario.

Of course you can accept the vote. You're a firms man. One look at your previous posts prove the point. No, you're not a baby. You're a microbe.Night Tonic wrote:I'm not, but clearly you're up your own IWW. I voted no but I'm not such a baby I can't accept the vote.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:You wouldn't. I really cant believe how this has all ended. In a few short weeks we have gone from being a union taking on RM and the government with real fight, to a bunch of subserviant idiots! Talk about short - sighted. Selling our terms and conditions away for a measly few hundred quid. A few hundred quid that will eventually mean NO overtime at all in delivery offices. The D2Ds will eventually be bunged in on us for sweet FA as well. Oh well time to take it easy, and stroll round my walk every day! The missus will be SO pleased that she now has to pick the kids up EVERY day
