leaked e-mail to doms
Have to be careful here but an e-mail sent country wide to doms has been intercepted. It reads from january managers are to give us hell and make things as uncomfortable as they can. The aim is to get as many as possible to leave rm to avoid paying the £400 due later in year.

Get a copy and put on the CWU website. Leaked memos are put in the public domain all the time.jafferpants wrote:Have to be careful here but an e-mail sent country wide to doms has been intercepted. To get the £400 you will have to have completed depolyment of phase 2 of the modernisation process and is part of a dividend payment of colleague share's and the £400 is due in april 2008 so three to four month's of hell!.greynut wrote:Get a copy and put on the CWU website. To quote a infamous Hellmail Moderator -" I really "feel" for the older staff as the job will be changed out of all recognition " -RM "There will be change at a pace like never before " .Please get that email on the net ,RM can take another shafting -all's fair in love & war & it's not exactly the first time the cat's been let out of the bag i.e. spying in 03 -Guardian & Star + Pensions -Mirror :Let the CWU HQ "Communications deal with it ???Applausek979aaa wrote:To get the £400 you will have to have completed depolyment of phase 2 of the modernisation process and is part of a dividend payment of colleague share's and the £400 is due in april 2008 so three to four month's of hell!.greynut wrote:Get a copy and put on the CWU website. If its true and its a big if - it could cause another nationwide strike imho. As not only will they be going against the spirit of the agreement they will also open themselves up to loads of ITs. If they do it too much there may be a chance of combining them and calling it a class action.jafferpants wrote:Have to be careful here but an e-mail sent country wide to doms has been intercepted. CWU better get this years diary's out fast as I for one will be entering loads of details in it if they do try - my last 3 words on this post if the rumour is true:
Constructive Dismissal Case.

I think alot of us are considering leaving anyway as we all know whats going to happen next year. Talking to a colleague today who has been with RM for many many years he says hes had enough and will be leaving in the New Year.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

I know things aren't too good at the moment and many people feel stressed with the pay and new deal business but there is a a camaraderie at most work places. It is important to maintain a sense of humour no matter how bad things are they can get better. I'd think carefully before moving on because there's only so many working hours in a day - so work em - go home and forget RM exists - it is only a job not a way of, but there are some advantages not least of all there is still a union presence - not that it is particularly strong at present - but many places have no union protection at all.k66yla wrote:I think a lot of us are considering leaving anyway as we all know whats going to happen next year. It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think they might just be putting a spin on it. As the managers will feel valued, and we will feel motivated to leave!k979aaa wrote:"To create a working environment where employees, CWU reps and managers feel valued and motivated" from phase 3 paragraph 4 of the transforming the way we work!. Wise words. Take a look at how much cabbies, burger-flippers and B&Q staff (for instance) are paid and the conditions they work under before jumping ship. Many in the "real world" would swap places in a heartbeat, regardless of how bad potential changes in RM working conditions may look.I know things aren't too good at the moment and many people feel stressed with the pay and new deal business but there is a a camaraderie at most work places.
