Favours for Friends
just a quick question.....
Are you allowed to come in on your day off/work over your time to help a fellow workmate?
or do you have to keep quiet and either meet ya friend out on his walk and help him or after you done your round then go finish his off?
If the DOM finds out, what can they do??

It goes on.
Our past dom tried to stop it but its come back now. You best go through your manager just in case something goes wrong whilst out on delivery. Its not worth risking otherwise.

You can as long is at no extra cost to the business, you can cover each other. But you should inform your DIM whats going on to cover your backs

It's also known as 'ghosting', a practice the hated Adam Crozier was ridiculed for when he said it does go on.bringon4dayweeks wrote:posties in our office have worked overtime on annual leave its down to the dom DOMS DECISION
Your DOM is dim if he allowed people to do this. He's in effect sanctioned people being paid twice for the same work, a practice known in legal circles as FRAUD
