I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Get your manager too write out a letter stating so and for him to sign it while all witness him sign it!. Don't leave mail on the doorstep if you are under pressure to do so see your union rep!.raiz1972 wrote:From yesterday at our office we are to leave Bt tracked even if no safe place told to leave on door step it's a jokedvbuk55 wrote:Not for BT Tracked - there are new rules for those because BT have accepted responsibility for loss should an item go missing. The ruling is now a second attempt must be made after 4 pm and should that fail then another visit must be made after 7.15 and before 8.00 the next day. I must say though there have only been a couple where a third visit has been necessary. As far as I am aware these restrictions have been added since the contract was accepted by RM.disgruntledpostie1 wrote:There rules are very simple, if a packet cannot be delivered then it's P739'd, it's never to be left unless the householder has given written instructions to the DOM stating otherwise. If you have spare time then why not try to re-deliver the item but if you've no time then you've no time.celerycelery wrote:Have been informed today that if we deliver one of these and there is no answer and there is no safe place to leave it we have to try again if going back past the property. Also they are going to send people out with them later in the afternoon/evening. Wonder if this is a huge contract they cannot afford to lose. Regarding the safe place issue was amazed we can leave these in places when they look like they could be worth a bob or two but when we had endless light bulbs that even said on the packet "leave in safe place if out" we were told we had to 739 them.......barmy
