I think our ceo should just apply for a job at dpd or amazon. It would be a wish come true for him. Leave us alone. If he wants to be another dpd he should introduce different delivery options a customer should choose. Like delivery to a safe place where he accepts responsibility or another address like work place or a collection point, ie post office. People who will not choose anything and won’t answer you just take a parcel back with no card but an email instead requesting to book redelivery or nomination of a different delivery place/address.

So should we erase all the postman's knowledge and customers agreement on where to leave parcels from now on?
Or should we only do that with the non tracked?
It's going to get very confusing for both postie and customer, leaving some items and not other.

Better fill my pockets with 739 cards then and start explaining to customers that the safe place they've had their parcels left for the past 10 years is no longer safe and that they'll have to fetch them from the DO or ask for a redelivery.
Also look at cutting off more often because of the added work load.
Can't wait.

Lots of blurry pictures of blue and white packages going through silver letter boxes in anonymous white doors.
I dare say it is really useful to somebody........

Don't overthink this, people.
Just carry on doing what you've always done.
Take a picture of any old blurry s**t.
You'll only get pulled up on it if there's a denial of receipt, and then you just shrug and say "dunno what happened with that photo,".

That's not really possible though is as if you get a DoR and have left the parcel in a safe place not authorised by the customer then you could now face a conduct charge.

But the question is are we past caring? I've yet to see someone sacked in my entire time doing this job all I see is people getting away with anything no matter how bad.

I'm continuing as normal, built up a good relationship with my customers over 9 years, never had a denial of receipt in that time, but it is a nice area.

Are we supposed to following the rule book and placing the packet down and retreating still? Bit of a contradiction with pcod if we are.

This. It seems to be impossible to be fired in this job. People get away with murder. They don't want to lose anyone as it is difficult to recruit and retain. I would carry on as normal and any questions just say no idea, it was too long ago to remember. Pda was probably not working.postieblueshirt wrote: ↑10 Mar 2022, 21:46But the question is are we past caring? Or just say you haven't been trained because no one has I doubt.Jahpostie wrote: ↑11 Mar 2022, 13:33This. It seems to be impossible to be fired in this job. People get away with murder.
