As ever you "pick" points out of context - follow the thread:

"True Blue Terrier - Good points well made.

I hope things get sorted.

My earlier point on pensions was not that contributions should stop. Essentially those already in the scheme should continue under the same terms.
My suggestion was that the current scheme should finish and be replaced with a more sustainable option for new members of staff.

I do not agree with RM moving the goalposts and changing your current agreement.

I also agree with your point re mail pricing - at the end of the day the decline of the RM began with deregulation.
The other mail services that are now winning much of the lucritave business mail are still using posties to deliver.
So the advantage is?
Oh yes TNT etc now make money that should be heading to RM.

I am not anti RM workers standing up for fair and reasonable rights and conditions.

You do have to admit that some of the work practices employed are a bit 1970's

On the same note I believe that the RM management come from the 1870's and that a lot of the new proposals are absurd.

Your points have been fair and reasoned

What does irritate me is the 1970's "up the workers" stance from some of your board members[/b

IWW - have you ever seen "Carry on at your Convenience"?

L Tommo you are as perceptive as ever.

No I don't like or agree with the comment.

I presume that a member of another union is also a scab by your logic.

I belive in free choice and democracy.

As I have said god knows how many times if any member of your union who did not go along with the strike I would consider to be a scab.

Other people - who were not invoved in the vote to strike - how can you consider them strike breakers?

They just have a different opinion to you.

IWW's point about me being a "scab apologist" as ever is uneducated, unjustified and incorrect. My disagreement is the definition of the term.

IWW defines a scab as anyone that disagrees with him - I would define a "scab" as a union member who works when , through a democratic decision strike axtion has been called.

My "finish it" comment was not meant to be patronising but just trying to recognise that differences can not be resolved.

Fine - that it what you want - but I think that the board moderators have different ideas.

Hence - agree to disagree

Where have I said that, you lying twat? I know exactly what a scab is, and your definition is worthless because it is the opinion of a liar, a scab apologist and contradicts the original meaning of the word. Now off you f**k before you get all upset and have to resort to telling us all about your wife and kids again to try and win a bit of sympathy from 3,000 people you don't even know. :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo! :Boo hoo!

Mine aren't. Mine go back much further than that. Perhaps you should educate yourself instead of trolling on here.

L tommo - I understand your point of view - hence the agree to disagree suggestion.

It is an argument that neither side can win as you have your opinion and I have mine.

I am neither a liar or a scab apologist.

I have been considering your stance on a number of things.

You continually come out with little digs "inspired" my you IWW union background.

Frankly looking at this union I am surpised that Leighton and Crozier have not offered you a job as senior management.

I mean - your little club has been going for over 100 years and at its height had more than 100,000 members.

Now - well about 2000 with less than half paid up!! Impressive for a "big" global union.

With figures like that you would fit in a treat.

And here in the UK - well again over 100 years you have 200 ish members - staggering growth record you your all inclusive union open to so many.
I am sure most of the members you do have are students called Piers or Tarquin and are just doing the rebel stint until going off to be MP's, lawyers or merchant bankers.

So it apears IWW that I am not the only one who considers most of what you say to be complete rubbish. If you carry on developing your IWW union with the same success then hopefully the membership will be down to 1 pretty soon.

Sure a lot of the proposals made by your management were also rubbish - but your only aim to to destroy everything.

Most of your fellow RM workers just want to get a fair deal and maintain a service -you want to kill it- suggest you get your CV off to Leighton and Crozier - You apear to have a lot in common

Most of the
