It's not a case of stopping a revison it's also about influencing it. Remember phase zero of the six step process helps if you have an office involved and you support the local rep. Plus at step 1 you agree objectives for the office and that can be what the staff want as well as the office including attendance patterns , overtime levels , numbers of VRS or part time going full time.

Now also you do not have to agree 100 BSI indoors , you can agree a step change so if your 70 you could agree to improve 10 points to 80. On the outdoor stuff you can manuel adjust deliveries for a range of things including time locks , receptions where letter boxes are on the ground floor and you need time for attendance calls to an whole range of issues. In addition your rep can negotiate and disagree if you do not support the revison or think its not going to work.

Remember you are entitled to vote on a revison and Royal Mail have not yet taken executive action when an office votes no. All of the above will help , support you local rep , set up a revison committee and make sure your voice is heard. Nowhere in the agreement does it say you have to work at 100 BSI and accept anything a planner or Royal Mail wants.

Good Luck and happy to help as you move forward

Under the current framework I believe the only way to adjust or change a revision is through your local rep who should keep his members fully informed of any proposals and take on board their feedback. In circumstances where there is a serious risk that the DO will fail after implementation then a delay to enable changes should be sought, stopping a revision completely is never going to be possible IMO.

In all events when the revision goes live work as normally as possible, start and finish on time and work at a good rate, management love to use the excuse that it was the OPGs attitude that caused the revision to fail when in fact it was due to their own poor planning which should involve and engage everyone in the unit. Make sure it is made crystal clear that any failings are not down to the delivery staff.
