Re: May 7th Lump sum £400 for part timers?
i can already see a scam they will come up with for the pro rata additional sums (the grand), i bet they will work it out based on the 40 hours still rather than the 39 so the part timers get less,
ie
1000/39=£25.64
1000/40=£25
so if im still on my 24 hr contract it would mean:
if based on 39 hrs - £615.36
if based on 40 hrs - £600.00
£15.36 difference, not a lot but a curry and a pint or 2
i might be getting a bit petty like, but i really am a sceptic and look for the bad points 1st so i can challenge them!

Some cynics could suggest that the exclusion of the pro rata from the agreement was deliberate in order to curry favour with part time members to get a yes vote - luckily I am not cynical

Sinful? Absolutely not - why only today before mass I went to confession for the usual "Father no need to forgive me for I have not sinned" - actually I'm a day out, that's tomorrowTrueBlueTerrier wrote:Cynical - The jury is Out.dvbuk55 wrote:Some cynics could suggest that the exclusion of the pro rata from the agreement was deliberate in order to curry favour with part time members to get a yes vote - luckily I am not cynical

There are two post on this thread that mention curries, could we please get back to the topic, or do you want me to send my Naan around to sort you lot out!
Hope the CWU High Command on here a pouring over the agreement, to see if a mistake has been made

The agreement says previsouly, so as the £400 is not CS anymore and there is no mention of it being pro rata it can be £400 for all as stated.
I wonder what a tribunal would make of it

I am sure as we hide behind our keyboards critising and finding faults in the agreement HQ will be preparing to champion the case for PT to get the full £400 as worded in agreement
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

These are just teething troubles I am sure. ACAS will have been brought into the equation by now as promised - four days old and there seems to be a glitch in the wording - wow there is a surprise. What is a surprise is that some of the union people haven't been able to set our minds at ease to clarify the situration.
