They'll be happier with the nice weather. They'll be able to sit outside on the obligatory 'outdoor settee' smoking their joints.Dorset Plodder wrote: ↑22 Mar 2022, 08:59I can certainly sympathise with anyone having to deliver to some of these sink estates TG, I think a lot of us forget that there's some really shite duties out there when we're moaning about how hard done by we are. I'm very aware that I deliver to a "Nice" area. Bet no-one's fighting to nick your duty on a resign? Hope the better weather improves your residents outlook.TopperGas wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 19:47But you're customer friendly Dorset and unfortunately most of us aren't.
It would be different if people on the rounds were happy, smiling and friendly but on my round they are often skint, depressed and miserable.
Apart from one or two the druggies, prozzies and welfare work dodgers are not the sort of people I really want to associate with and that extra minute I find fumbling around trying to take a photo in their presence is most uncomfortable indeed.![]()

What if the receiver bought directly from the Royal Mail website. Would we be our own customer?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 13:56Technically the receiver pays our customer to get their parcel to them and our customer pays Royal Mail to get it to their customerdeltaforce wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 09:48Yes but most of the time it’s the receiver that has paid for the service so they have good reason to be peeved.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 09:22The customer is the person sending it not the person receiving it1560loopsayear wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 09:19All in the name of keeping up good customer relations and not leaving them with a scowl on their face.

And if you posted a stamped or recorded letter to someone you deliver to on your walk, you could personally be the customer and also deliver it

You know sometimes when you see these types you wonder whose got it right? Us workers who have to spend a £1000 plus a month just to stand still or these layabouts who appear to have a pretty decent time? Don't think I could handle the "Lifesyle" though.

Id imagine most of these sorts of people are in desperate states of mental despair and just about struggling through life one day at a time.

TBH they don't seem to give that impression, pretty sure they feel sorry for us having to deliver their post in all weathers!

Why is photo evidence not available on all products?
Although only currently available with Royal Mail Tracked 24® and Royal Mail Tracked 48® non signature services, future releases will look to extend the offering to further products. A list of specific Royal Mail Tracked® products where photo-on-delivery is available can be found here.
From the rm webpage.

My assumption is if we took photos on none tracked items then they wouldn't be uploaded so the customer could also see them?2yearpostie wrote: ↑01 Apr 2022, 16:31Why is photo evidence not available on all products?

Thing is as well, if you start offering the same level of service for your non-premium products it kind of makes customers question the need to fork out for the premium stuff.
I think they call it Premium Pricing differentiation, when you con/vince people they're getting something special for that bit of extra cost.
Undermines the whole thing if you offer the same service for everything.

Another annoying thing is when you’re trying to take a photo on a bright, sunny day - you can’t see F all on the screen! I just point it roughly in the right direction, click and hope for the best!

Pull down the screen from the top, it shows the brightness bar like on a phone.mjd24 wrote: ↑03 Apr 2022, 10:24It seems like the screens on the pda’s i use are a lot darker now than previously. . . is there a way to increase the brightness?nightcrawler wrote: ↑02 Apr 2022, 16:42Another annoying thing is when you’re trying to take a photo on a bright, sunny day - you can’t see F all on the screen!
