Re: From where 3000 job would go ??
There is about one failure every fortnight at Bristol on one shift or another. I think the 50 voluntary vr/evr are on processing only. Union say any revision will take 3 months to plan, add on quotation interviews, I'd say any change wouldn't come until July/August at the earliest. About a quarter of the staff here are already agency casuals. Perhaps the union should have not just had a full time/part time ratio but a substansive/casual ratio.

In case you're interested a third of the 250 most senior managers in the business were made redundant in the restructure undertaken last autumn. "Regional" management has continually been reduced as the number of regions has been reduced over the years; from 11 to 9 to 5 and now 3.wabbithunta wrote:You can bet there will be none at the top of the tree!

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at. Are you saying that 3 is the right number of regions and therefore any number above that is too many and indicates duplication of effort?aiden01 wrote:from 11 to 3 what have they being doing for untold how many yearsBrain Fury wrote:In case you're interested a third of the 250 most senior managers in the business were made redundant in the restructure undertaken last autumn. Yes, although I really wanted to leave so it wasn't a problem for me. For some others the 'restructuring" exercise was a shambles.baldrick wrote:Brain Fury, I see you are ex-Royal Mail too now. Did you get VR'd?
