It's no-where near as bad as it is for Delivery Posties. But I don't see anything particularly positive about it, apart from the lump sums, and the fact that they won't loose any money in the long run (whereas some Delivery Posties will loose some money on their D2D payments).
Here are some examples:
1) WCM: This is just a way of transfering as much blame as possible onto the Posties, if something goes wrong. But doesn't actually help them prevent the problems.
2) H&S improvements: There's a section claiming that this will be improved. But where's the specifics?
Who's going to monitor it?
The Managers?![]()

What penalties will there be for Managers who block attempts to improve safety?
Will the training be adequate for the extra duties involved in WCM for the Posties?
Or will they simply be used as Scapegoats?![]()
There are other problems with it. But as it's mostly Delivery Posties, posting in this Thread. I won't go into more detail, unless someone asks me to. There are more than enough problems with the deal, that are specific to Deliveries, to disuade people from voting for it.
This is one of the worst things hidden away behind all lump sums and general bullsh!t the fact is will you be next and you will be in time!.flaminmoses wrote:if the union let rm get away with the top 10% rate of sorters as the standard they should be shot.
people will lose their jobs just because they allowed this to go through.
Where I work, beheading is favoured. As a very moderate sort of person, I advocate rolling up all 80 odd pages of the agreement and inserting it up their interim agreements.flaminmoses wrote:if the union let rm get away with the top 10% rate of sorters as the standard they should be shot.
