even though our starting time is 9.
the f/t or the ones who come in early do there flex bit before we even walk into the office. so in other words they have the head start and easily complete there rounds and flex in alloted time.

Same here, if you get in for 9 and bag up, takes you to 9.30, 15 minutes to get to first delivery point, 9.45, half hour break, 10.15, 3 and a half hour walk, 13.45, 15 mins pouching off, 14.00 or am I missing something.
What sort of contract are you on that allows that?number one wrote:realitybites wrote:morleyposty wrote:we p/t in our office have to do flex.

Interesting conversation with Area rep today, told me he has had an email from ************'s office stating that negotiations have eached a critical stage and he needed to know whether the members would have a problem with working till 3 or 4 O'clock on Saturdays, and asking for a scaled response 1 being no problem and 10 being extreme problem! Needless to say Area rep indicated a score of 10+.
Ding Dong indeedy - makes you wonder what is going to come out next week - Billy was on another thread saying that there was a no strike agreement and now we have this little feeder to the punters. The scary thing is that by the time it gets to a vote there has been enough "tit bits" to make everyone think it is a reality. I have stated before that the membership need to be wide awake when this agreement hits the street. What we don't need is an unsupported longer delivery span, a "shared" reward scheme, one off payments not included in the pension, a no strike agreement. The likes of some of the posters on here seem to think that this is an agreement to end all agreements mainly because they are involved in the negotiation but not the work involved afterwards. There is also something a little strange when they were reported to be not recommencing negotiations til the 4th of January..................fishtank wrote:Ricky Bruch wrote:From a rep from a rep so make your own minds up

Dear Colleagues,
The national talks on Delivery Issues are hitting a number of critical
points - one of those points is the issue of Longer and Later Saturday
Working -
On a scale of one to ten, how big an issue is this for our members in
Delivery?
1 = not a big issue
10= massive issue
Ring a bell anyone?

Surely if you start work on time, go for your full 40 minute meal relief, weigh your bags and work to your time, there won't be any time for lapsing?what is wrong with your people??! Stop it now! Tell you what, start work half an hour early, forget about your meal relief, run around like an idiot then work you half an hour flexibility ...do this for a month. For free. Now if Royal Mail asked you to work for free you'd tell them to go jump right? RIGHT?? Come on people get a grip

The full timers in my DO lapse by doing 20minutes less IPS than the rest of the full timers.
The P/T have to lapse by taking the time out of their delivery span.
It is s**t and is meant to divide us. And it does.
