It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: WE MUST STICK TOGETHER
I attended the picket line during the 2007 strikes and 2 days off those I was on annual leave and nothing was said by management. Others were on the picket line on their day off and again nothing was said.postghost wrote:No.k979aaa wrote:It is your free time are you going to let some "manager" manage your free time as well!.postghost wrote:Does anyone know if you are allowed to attend picket line if its your day off??

You can attend as an observer and show your support - don't wear uniform and don't don a picket line ta-bard/arm band and you'll be fine.postghost wrote:No.k979aaa wrote:It is your free time are you going to let some "manager" manage your free time as well!.postghost wrote:Does anyone know if you are allowed to attend picket line if its your day off??

In 2007 I attended every picket line including my days off, I also went onto the gate they day before 1 strike, on my day off and handed out leaflets, You are and will be outside RM property so there is nothing they can do - he is just using scare tactics.

Re: WE MUST STICK TOGETHER
I i think it could be different if you are on sick leave though, i am at the moment and don't think it would be a good move to attend a picket line.
