New contracts boycott Sunday working.
Yep, this. Strike action every Sunday until there is meaningful progress on equalisation.

It would send a message imo but the union would never back us.

Nor the majority of full-time staff I'd guess

It wouldn't send a visual message, that's for sure. Did anyone anywhere turn up to a picket line on Sunday 11th December 2022 for strike action? I attended the singular Saturday (1st October) and it was pitiful. If I had stayed in bed like I wish I had instead of freezing my arse off in an ultimately futile course of industrial action, the rep would have counted attendance on one hand.
The machine stops.

How have the CWU had their trousers pulled down ? This is clearly a game of brinkmanship now the CWU not agreeing uso change until there is movement on equalisation. There won’t be any strike action, we’ve agreed a 3 year pay deal so no money lost , the ball is in royal mail’s court.

Can't see the union winning that, think RM will just bring it in anyway via Executive Action.

They may well do that but then Royal Mail are moving into the territory of executive action and turmoil again which I think they will be keen to avoid, my guess is a compromise on both sides will be found to keep both parties content for now.
