Why does it have to be 8:06?! Why not 8am. Baffles me so much.
Cause they know people will start at 8am anyway and they'll get 6 minutes a day free work = 2h free labour per postie per month.
lol and why is the 2 hours a significant figure, people have been working at least 5 hours a week for free for the last 20 years
100% this.
Never ceases to amaze me how many people have already got their mail in when I walk into the office at the correct start time. Every single day.
The working for free thing has always baffled me, our manager has recently stopped anyone doing this, finally
I wish ours would, I wonder if it's finally sunk in that it's in their interests too as it possibly hinders them arguing they need more hours in the office or when they get tasked with taking hours out.

Don't think their managers will give a damn. They'll still be ordered to take however many hours out of the office, knowing that if they don't they'll simply be replaced with some who will take the required hours out of the office.

It's so totalitarian: 'Shoot him, or I'll shoot you!'

You can add the pro RM propaganda of certain other posters on here to that statement. Absolute clowns.

That's exactly it, each section manager has a budget to keep to so controlling everything is paramount
