A 10 second video clip of the recipient on their doorstep holding the item and saying they’ve received it will be the next step!
And then a film of them opening it, showing how delighted they are. Followed by a selfie of postie and recipient together, bonding in their successful transaction. The recipient can then be encouraged to post a comment on the new Royal Mail TripAdviser website. We can then be awarded gold stars, to be worn on our uniforms, which result from the feedback.
At the end of the day you are just postmen [sic].You deserve nothing more than what's been offered and probably a lot less.

Silly me, I thought the idea of photo capture was to do away with signatures. Now having to do both on one item.

I wonder if the increase in photo capture on delivery is the result of increased usage of DWS

Have you seen how tiny the photos are when you look at the tracking page? The videos would be so low res it would make using RealPlayer in the days of dial-up look like 4K.
The machine stops.

This is a pain for those customers who we know are happy for us to post signed Tracked when they are out as we now need them to be in in order to open their doors!

No doubt in a few months ST will be asking on Workplace why are parcels taking longer to deliver even though parcel numbers dropping.

.... and including them in the Age Verification process reduces the risk of delivering blades, alcohol, and other age-restricted items to minors.

How exactly?

My thoughts exactly, Will they now be getting us to take pictures of the customer. I think not because of significant GDPR minefield. These feckers just got their heads up their ass.

Farmers 30 miles out in the countryside are not going to be happy when they have to come to a CSP that is open
limited hours of the day, every other day of the week are they? If not, don't worry take it out the day after says Simple Simon,
you'll be able to see said farmer 2 miles away ploughing his field, stand on top of the wagon in your high viz
and wave your arms and he'll take 20 minutes to come over to open the door so you can take a photo and get a signature......

We are being led by people who have no idea what customers want from their postie.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’
