Kwik Post you have my respect for your support , but the words in the agreement does not say that there will not be a strike till after christmas. What its states there will be a review on Monday and then fortnightly and it will be tested against whether there will be agreements to end the local disputes which include impostion in all offices including yours. If the PEC think that Royal Mail are draging thier heels then further action can be called.
It does distrub me that some people do say we cant trust Royal Mail to honour this agreement they may well be right. But if we cant trust Royal Mail to honour any agreement then we can never get an agreement ever again.
Most Divisions are meeting their regional directors over the next two days. In London we have a meeting with our Regional Directors tomorrow afterwhich we will be meeting with our area reps and Branch`s tomorrow afternoon. On wednesday all DSMs and Area Reps will meet.
Royal Mail can either make this agreement work by agreeing to the full terms which does include no more impostion , and to resolve all their imposed revisons including adressing improving earnings , attendaces and agreeing the hours and jobs as well as MTSF issues. Or the CWU as agreed by the PEC last Thursday in an amendment which stated quite clearly that we will be declare further strike action if Royal Mail drag their heals in the next week.

Regarding your points where absorbition has been imposed then it should be reviewed in the same way within the full terms of the IR framework.
Regarding the casual sites well they should close down in line with 3.2 when all work which has been diverted is returned to its parent office.
With regards to bullying well there are a number of issues contained within the interim agreement, the ending to the controversial taking off pay policy with a full review of all cases . Secondly that any discplinary cases will be dealt with informaly where ever possible. On top of that there is a project going to take place with outside extrenal support which will to root out bullying in the workplace.
Look I can assure all those in London if we dont think that Royal Mail are serious then we will not be hanging around waiting for the two week review we will be actioning further action.
However if Royal Mail honour the words which are in the deal and we make progress on the imposed revisons and the start agreeing the modensation deal which will provide benefits and improved security then surely its worth trying.
There is no way anyone intends to betray anyone but equally if we have a way forward which can mean we resolve all the issues whilst at the same time keeping up our sleeve the opportunity to take action within the next week then why would we reject
Anyone who continues to pedal the lie that there will not be any action should come to the National Briefing on Friday as that myth will be nailed as complete bullshit. Some posters jumped to conclusions without even reading the agreement and now have refused to accept their wrong.
No one in London or on the PEC intend to let down our members but neither do we intend to make them lose further money if we have the opportunity to resolve all the issues.
We will know by Thursday whether this agreement has legs or not. I suggust we all take stock then.
