What do these abbreviations mean?

Sorry me again.

Whilst Googling I found what I think is a list of delivery offices but I don't know what some of the abbreviations mean?

Can anyone help?

I've got DO - Delivery Office

But what about,

SPDO?
PDO?

Thanks again. Sorry to be asking such boring questions on a Saturday afternoon!

spdo = scale payment delivery office
pdo = postal delivery office

but the what the heck is a "scale payment delivery office?"

Forgot to ask - Is a PDO, postal delivery office, just like a standard Post Office you'd find on the High Street?

And a DO, delivery office are the main ones where you collect parcels/missed deliveries?

SPDO is the post office you find in the high street - where you get your car tax etc
PDO is the delivery office , where postmen/women work

PCOD - I know what it really means but in this context bensonhedges is on a fishing expedtion. Especially with the finish time post earlier on.

PCOD = Private Cars On Delivery

No, a SPDO, Scale Payment Delivery Office, is a Delivery Office not owned by Royal Mail usually attached to a Sub Post Office which may or may not be in a High Street and may or may not sell car tax.
A little used term is SPSO, Scale Payment Sub Office, which is just a Sub Post Office of which there are about 15,000, as opposed to Crown Offices actually owned by the Post Office of which there are just 300 to 400 mainly in town or city centres.
