It is back to business for Amani Kouamelam (left) and Diakite Mamadou (right) at Bouaké Post Office in the rebel controlled north of Ivory Coast. Usual, except for the fact they have five years worth of letters to sort.
Bouaké was not completely cut-off thanks to a French woman who chose to stay. Madame Delon crossed between the rebel and government sides of the conflict every day to pick up newspapers and post. Over several years she delivered more than 11,000 letters, free of charge.
