Moved to Blue Shirts but we have a few of these running including a poll but my guess is its going to be a close call. Anyone notice how many new bods we have coming into the business since the strikes. I mean welcome to everyone who has started recently but recent recruitment does seem higher than previous years. :whistle :shhhhh :hmmmm

Yes, lots of new recruits, mostly young single fellas living at mums,on PT contracts, doing it for beer money before moving on to a proper job because you can't bring up a family on the kind of hours new entrants are offered at RM.

Where I work, 24 hour people come in to pick up their walk, but nowt's been thrown up. They get fed up of this after a while, then just stop turning up.

A nice young lad in our DO is on the 24hr contract. Whilst chatting to him he told me he ALSO works as a barman up to 2am in the morning so he can ACHIEVE a reasonable living wage to pay a mortgage and support his lady & baby!

there were an extra 3 staff brought into my office recently but now that we've overspent our budget he's now got to get rid of them (God help us next year whenever our budget is cut by 7%)

Quite a few people in my office are on 25hr contracts but work 40+ hours, they just come in early and prep them. Not ideal but better than stuck working 25 hours.
