TEST AND TRACE

so if we are contacted by the NHS whilst we're out on delivery, what's the procedure?

Do we immediately cut off?
and what happens to the van, do we leave it where it is or drive it back to the depot?
also test and trace has the potential to put entire offices into isolation.

I also wonder, if you're contacted to self isolate but are showing no symptoms, will your absence be counted towards possible stage warnings/dismissal?
Bearing in mind also some people may have shown symptoms and self isolated previously..
It's of course a government instruction to self isolate in these circumstances...

What happens if it's happened to you, you come out of the 14 day isolation, then you get contacted again and have to go into another 14 day isolation?

It's actually voluntary which could give employers a get out clause when it comes to the attendance procedure.

I think it's unlikely that's going to happen because the contact criteria is pretty tight.

What counts as ‘close contact’?
It means anyone who has been within 2 metres of the infected person for more than 15 minutes without protective equipment – something test-and-trace chief Dido Harding says should be rare if workplaces are operating in accordance with “Covid-secure” guidelines.

The government also hopes the requirements of the new system in England will focus the public’s minds on the importance of continuing to stay 2 metres apart from others, as much as possible.

Once the app is up and running, the patient’s mobile phone should automatically identify anyone they have come close to. But until that happens, patients will be asked to identify likely contacts themselves, via an online proces

It is, but if people don't self isolate the next step will be fines.

It's interesting that Matt Hancock has just said on BBC that even if you've had Covid-19 and had a positive test and had a positive anti-body test you will still need to self-isolate if you're flagged up as a potential contact.

What does that tell us about potential immunity?

It has become clear that Hancock has been making stuff up on the hoof during live interviews.
I wouldn't be surprised for anything he has said to be contradicted in the next few hours, possibly by Hancock himself.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Just been watching the news and that scenario CAN happen. You've been on public transport and someone catches it, you get contacted and have to isolate for 14 days, you go back and a different person on the bus/train/tram catches it, you'll get contacted again and have to isolate for another 14 days

A nurse friend of mine has had a phone call this morning saying she has been in contact with someone who has the virus, they wouldn’t give her anymore details as it would breach confidentiality. Told to isolate for 14 days and that it’s mandatory. Not sure how this is all going to work.
