why don't they hire more that seems to be the problem not using your cars would force there hand .also you could have a later start to keep social distance

They could have hired vans mega cheap , they knew most places were going to close etc Arnold Clark and others .

Problem is this company are so tight .

Bring in nights in delivery offices, staff each office at half working day in day off and rotate the walks one day each, or split shifts half in the morning half in the afternoon

a few idiots have offered to use there cars but cant carry the mail so whats the point more hassle and stress for the driver just when you don't need it

Where do you propose all these extra vans get parked? Many DOs wouldn't have the room in their yards and have probably no where nearby that they could park them. More vans aint going to happen

If there not Royal mail drivers and have not had driver training they can't take that shite offer up tell staff that and only third party

You wouldn't even insure your car third party lol

And if cars on PCP or lease can't use them

Not all the DOs will have that luxury. Just had a quick look at one of the DOs in the town where I live, and it's got double yellows all around

Same as ours but some of our vans are left 4 or 5 streets away all over the place.
