sum1 else chucking in your walk
Some times i come in to work and my walk has been thrown out by someone else. Usually the same person. Even though this person is often on this walk he is an absolute nightmare . I find myself with atleast 20 missorts while out on walk. He is always one of the 1st up and out the office. So in the managers eyes he is a good worker. Although the job is clearly not being done properly. I am sick of complaints off customers while on the doors . I just dont understand how he is never disciplined.

same as me
I used to have to pull together a walk that was split over 7 frames [good eh] so i had seven diff people putting it in, let me first say everyone makes mistakes! but this one guy god! had missorts that didn't even belong to that frame never mind put it in the wrong street
I eventually got totally sick of it as i got sick of going back to deliver his mistakes, repeatedly asked him to be more careful, told the boss when no improvement, had over 25 miss sorts over the seven frames and showed him them, was supposed to sort it never did, so i just used to bring them back and give them to the boss, f**k em, used to say that he would send them out later never did just left till the next day, used to deliver the mistakes on a sat though, guilt got the better of me!
What happened to the guy that was the main miss sorter? well his is now our workplace coach!
as one of the lads said "couldn't run a f***ing raffle!"

Re: same as me
of course you check the mail be4 you put it through the door. thats how you discover the mistake. but the amount these loons make is unreal. I think they are scared incase they look inferior in the office. They think the later they are out the door the worse they will look. Bit of paranoia.macfan wrote:Oh ye never got any complaints as i never do rely just on sorting, ,check your mail before you put it through, no i am not perfect! think i made some but not that many, every one makes mistakes!

they throw the walk in i take it out M/R then packets then i do a collection on the end
think it's one of those new way forward duties

Ye that's what i used to do when my round was split over 7 frames, this one i have now is all in one, used to get hassle off the DIM as why i was taking so long to get out though, after rechecking someone else's work, was so annoying! the section that used to do it rotates as well so that made it harder for them, as diff person every week used to prep it
I always remember prepping someone else's on overtime the guy comes back and has a go at me for getting one letter miss sorted! had to bite me tongue there
everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect, but it's when you get upwards of 20 odd that you start to think?

The ruling for this is if you are returning early you should redeliver, if no time flag up to DOM or RLE if DOM gone home. It is not worth losing your job over as if you have your bag checked or are off sick the next day and they are found it is wilful delay.dohnut wrote:Just bring them back to the office or leave in bag for next day or post them.

Are you part time? and if so this is a form of advanced walk prep is it the future for us all? why in gods name do they come in early and prep someone else's duty!?.LUV THE SMELL OF LETTERS wrote:Some times i come in to work and my walk has been thrown out by someone else. Leaving mail in the pouch and having it found on the next day on a bag check is cause for suspension and possible dismissal. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would cut corners to the detriment of the service and against their own interest.shelanda wrote:The ruling for this is if you are returning early you should redeliver, if no time flag up to DOM or RLE if DOM gone home.
