I did this the other week. These two houses are the same number and the same exact name different street but on the same loop. The house u delivered it too took it round to the correct house. Good job it wasn't anything important it was holiday money :d'oh! . I just got a slap on the wrist but I can see other managers taking it further.

Don't lie if anything goes further, be honest if they catch you out then dismissal is likely.

For a first offence and if you have no warnings or other issues then nothing may happen, or you may get a telling off and told to be more careful.

However, lets not sugar coat it - dismissal is a possibility but in my opinion HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

If interviewed, be contrite and apologetic. You made a genuine mistake and will try to make sure it doesn't happen again. Get the rep involved and follow their guidance, they have local knowledge which may help.

We all make mistakes, we all overthink things sometimes. Try not to worry and hopefully it ill blow over.

Nice one TBT! Teebs is absolutely 100% on the money with this. Honesty isn't just the best,it's the ONLY policy in this case.

if it doesnt 'blow over' as this hippy suggests you need to totally involve your union rep.
