Moving to lorry driving

Post by Postie Dave79 »

Hi All

I am interesting in moving into HGV driving for Royalmail, has anyone on here done this, is the process easy enough, do they pay for training etc?

Thanks
Dave

If you don't hold a class 1 licence you've got little no chance of getting a job hgv with, if you've got a class 2 you've got a slim chance.
But if expecting rm to pay for training, you've probably got more chance of winning the lotto.

I work in the Voc as class 2 driver, and rm wouldn't pay for class 1 and had fund it my self.
If its something you really want to do, I'd get into the mind set that it's going cost few thousand pound if you want your licence.
