1st April new pay rates !

Post by dancingqueen »

I often used to do a 3 hour shift at my local mail centre and get £12.92 per hour and no break. Fair enough. 6pm to 9pm

I did a 3 hour shift WC 8th April (after new pay rates came in) and I have got £11.90 per hour !

I have asked Angard to clarify this 7% pay drop.

It's actually nearer a 10% drop (9.7) if you factor in the 2% increase on the 1st April. The big problem for us is that the drop in the hourly rate is calculated on working a 38 hour week with 40 minute breaks so we lose out. The only shifts where you are slightly better off due to a paid 30 minute break are the 4.5 or 5 hour shifts every other shift you are earning less particularly on short shifts.
