Newborn lamb named after Llanyre postie Farah

Barbara Fraser-Duthie looks after lambs on behalf Telsa Field-Thompson, a fifth generation sheep farmer of Ganithon Farm, Llanyre.

She decided to name one of the lambs after Farah Khan, who is also known as Deeba, after the lamb started to run up to the edge of the gate whenever the post van would arrive.

"She runs right towards her, it's really sweet. She'll wait at the internal gate and will immediately start jumping up to see her," Miss Fraser-Duthie said.


"She's a little cutie. She loves being picked up and cuddles.

She adores being picked up by Farah. She just relaxes into her arms," she said.

When Miss Fraser-Duthie said she would like to name the lamb after Farah, she was "overjoyed".

"I'm so supportive of our local posties," she said.

Ewes, orphans, twin and triplet lambs are being looked after by Miss Fraser-Duthie on Cagebrook Lane, Llanyre.

She's looked after the lambs for years on behalf of Mrs Field-Thompson, and has previously named them after local children and even the Rev. Andrew Perrin.
