annual leave question

Post by Lawrencepa2014 »

Just wondering how does it work when you need a day off and book it annual leave but you’re not working that day anyway? And also are bank holidays paid for and are these deducted from the 28 days annual leave. Thank you

If you have a day off booked and it turns out to be your rostered day off the leave should be put back on to your entitlement.

As a new starter you get 22.5 days leave, not 28. Bank Holidays are extra to the 22.5 days and you are paid for them, if it's your rostered day off you should be given the choice of a day's pay or an extra days leave.
