Postman with Driving - full time holiday cover

Hi Guys,

Do any of you work or have worked as postmen or postwomen with driving and are cover for other postie's who are on holiday?.....

How was it getting used to covering a completely different round each day or week?

I am assuming this must take some getting used to. I have no idea how the sorting process work, but If you are on the same round everyday it must take less than 2 weeks to be fully comfortable sorting your round. I am a little concerned that going from one round one day to another the next day - is going to be difficult to get used to sorting the round.

Please let me know of your experiences in this cover role.....
