Dave Ward,RM's AGM's and the Div reps on the subject of how we implement the flexibility elements of the deal.

RM "We need to have a 21st century relationship with the CWU and that jointly we need to embrace and drive change in every aspect of our business"

RM "Clearly to do this attitudes and behaviours of all parties will have to change........easy to say,quite hard to do but possible........"

Can anyone please explain to me the way flexibility is going
to work in offices such as mine, where you have a manager
who,s idea of flexibility is telling us to jump and for us to say
how high

The optimistic thing is that RM asked for this meeting because they are getting so much negative feedback about cuts and flexibility from units across the UK. At least we have them on the back foot and they need us!!

It looks like we could get some nationall guidelines / barriers out of this meeting which would help reps with negotiations.

Any reps out there signing up already ahead of national update......... DONT!!

Our reps SW1-20 local and branch,are meeting management tomorrow to have a chat about how things are going to move forward in SW London.I may go myself as we do not have a rep at our office and would like to see whats in store for us.

Thats the way mate. As long as Area Reps and Div reps do the business and organise the reps and units under them then there is no reason why there can't be a strong area and even divisional wide approach to things.

Was told today that we have to get agreements on the table and signed up by 28th Jan. 20 days away.
Three of which are sundays 17 days away.
Three of which are my rest day. 14 days away.
Three of which are the D.O.M.s rest day. 11days away.
All that with no release time agreed,
several long term sick,
lots off with the sickness bug,
manager out on deliveries,
area manager also chipping in with deliveries.
And 5 positions not being filled.
Agreement by 28th MY ARSE!!!

I was told much the same thing, brightened up my day, no end.
