Christmas 2018 - Printing Application Problem?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to print my application as I am going to the registration event shortly, but I am running into a problem. When I have printed my application out I have noticed lots of text is missing especially the important stuff that I have put in the boxes you know were you put additional text for example >Additional Jobs/Activities< (answer size should be 1024 characters or less.) the text in the box is definitely less than 1024.

Might be browser related, try logging in using a different browser to the one you normally use. You should also have a print preview in whatever browser you use so you can see if it looks OK.

Thanks for replying back to my post.

I have tried on Firefox, Chrome and Edge and I get the same problem on all of them. The text dialogue boxes are not expanded so I am only seeing so much of the text I have inputted. I have no idea what I am going to do. I can’t see it only being me with the problem, maybe people haven’t checked what they have printed to make sure all the text they have entered is showing.

The website has changed slightly since last year when I applied, it must have a couple of glitches and Royal Mail are not aware.

Is this for a temporary Christmas job with Angard or with Royal Mail? If it’s with Angard, I would email them and ask what you should do. I once had issues printing my application out and they advised it should be no problem as they could print it out themselves at the assessment centre. You can’t be the only one with this problem, as you say.

Thanks for replying back to my post.

The job is with Royal Mail as a Christmas Casual. I emailed them yesterday <christmas_helpline@royalmail.com> explaining the issue but I am still waiting for a response. I have even tried to call them <0345 600 1785> but it’s automated and you cannot speak to a human being.

The registration event is on 5th October, I now doubt I will be going due to this issue.

I would just turn up and print off what you can. Write or type the missing information on a separate sheet. Hopefully they can sort it all out at the assessment day.

I am very surprised no other users have not been on here posting the same problem. I will more than likely end up copying and pasting the text in a document that is not visible on the application.

Due to various reasons ive delayed my Christmas temp application this year, whilst it wont be the end of the world if I dont get it, cany anyone tell me if its too late for me to get Nightshift at Peterborough?

Yes Mahrm1 you are correct! I have printed off my documents for a very late registration event (Job only just advertised!) & I have just noticed that in the Additional Jobs/Activities box, the second half of what I wrote is missing! Just like you said! There isn't anything else missing. I haven't exceeded the 1024 characters. BUT if you go back & check the original Profile, all the info is still there. however, you must move the slider on the box to see it! Maybe other people haven't needed to put loads of info in the box?
