Four Pillars of Security and Pay: Appendix A

Further to LTB 338 issued on the 11th June 2018 regarding The Four Pillars of Security and Pay, Branches will wish to note that both parties have continued to progress discussion around the agreed areas of activity. The drive is to develop an overall package which provides the best possible earning opportunities whilst Royal Mail Fleet is able to win new business, increase revenue and grow the Fleet operation with the aim of developing industry leading standards around terms and conditions of employment.

Other areas of activity have also continued at pace around attendance arrangements and a new career path structure that provides development opportunities within Technical grades. A constructive workload is being completed that offers a positive framework with opportunities for all CWU members in Fleet which we feel are nearing conclusion.

As contained in the Joint Statement, both parties anticipate a conclusion to these discussions by mid-September. CWU also plan to hold a number of Regional Briefings for members in advance of any final agreement which will also be the subject of an individual member ballot of all members affected.
