Anyone been successful on waiting list?

Post by beckylh »

Hi, I just heard back from my interview and I have been placed on the waiting list. I just wanted to ask how successful people have been and what the chances of getting a job on the waiting list?

I got a job last year after about 6 weeks on the waiting list.

Hi,

I was put on the waiting list after my interview last year. I received a call 2 weeks later from HR offering me a job at the same delivery office.

You should also keep an eye out for any advertised vacancies on the royal mail job site and then apply using the waiting list link that you will have received by email. This will tag you as being a waiting list candidate which means you "should" be given priority (as you have already passed your tests and interview).

Good luck!

The waiting list is the best place if you want to work for RM, 15 years ago I was on it for 8 weeks.

Its basically a fast track system for the next vacancy.

I also found out yesterday that I had been placed on the waiting list. Today another job has been advertised for the same office I originally had my interview at so that has confused me. Hope you get an offer soon

I'm on the waiting list but didn't receive a link in the email. What should I do?

I was on waiting list and applied for other local positions but got rejected. One was because I did not complete the tests, which I was told I did not have to do again.

I emailed HR and about 3 days later got an email apologising and that i was put first inline for a job at the do I applied for originally. Within an hour I had a job offer.

So my advice is if you feel you are not getting anywhere, contact royal mail hr.

Yeah that's the email hr gave me. Seems to be as inactive as the other one I used. Because I was previously unsuccessful at the depot I'm trying to apply for now, it's still showing on my jobs profile and won't let me apply for the new position.

I've been on the waiting list for 4 weeks now and there has not been a single job advertised for any of my local Depots, I'm getting so frustrated I've had to take a part time job at Sainsbury's which I absolutely hate, can't see the light at the end of the tunnel :arrrghhh
