CONCERN is mounting for a man who has vanished in Germany while on his brother’s stag party trip.
Liam Colgan has not been seen since the early hours of Saturday morning, prompting a widescale search.
The 29-year-old from Inverness had travelled to Hamburg with his brother, Eamonn, who is getting married next month, and some friends.
Yesterday, Mr Colgan’s distraught family took to social media to appeal for help in finding him.
They revealed that the missing man’s father had flown to northern Germany to try to help with the search for the Royal Mail worker.
The missing man, who is due to be his brother’s best man when he marries his fiance Susan, was wearing a brown leather jacket and a grey hoodie when he was last spotted in Hamburg city centre, in the Hamborger Veermaster bar.
Yesterday, Eamonn Colgan said: “We’re over in Hamburg for my stag do. Liam hasn’t been seen since about 1.30am on Saturday morning.
“My dad has flown out to Germany and the local police are helping to try and trace him. We’re just waiting to find out what’s going on. Hopefully the online appeal will help find Liam and find him safely.”
One of the stag party members added: “We flew out on Friday morning, and the last time anyone saw him was early on Saturday. There was a fairly big group of us out and the group had got smaller and smaller as the night went on.
“I wasn’t actually with him when he left but some of the guys went back yesterday and staff at the bar said he had left a couple of minutes before the main group but nobody had realised at the time.”
