A man charged with stealing letters from a postman is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates' Court today.
On Thursday, September 21, a postman was allegedly robbed of letters in Smarden Road, Headcorn.
Oluwakemi Adesaogun, 41, of Antelope Road, Woolwich was arrested on Monday and was subsequently charged with robbery and possession of articles for use in fraud.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates today.

Just to be pedantic but there's no need to use "allegedly" when reporting whether the crime actually occurred. The postman wasn't "allegedly robbed", the presumption of innocent until guilty applies to who robbed him not whether he was robbed.
He was robbed.

Someone stole some letters from a postman. Whether or not it was robbery will depend on whether violence or the threat of violence was used when those letters were stolen.
